The idea and implementation of iShare was carried out independently by Jürgen Koller Software GmbH.
The aim is to enable peer-to-peer data exchange over the Internet without having to upload the data to a cloud service. This allows maximum control over your own data without having to give it away.
A macOS desktop app was developed in Objective-C that allows for direct data transfer to a client.
The app was realized within a development time of 4 months.
In the app, file sharing can be enabled, including user login and password. A link is sent to the client, which can be opened in any web browser. Through the link, files can be both downloaded and uploaded.
