Juergen Koller Software GmbH is committed to aligning its website juergenkoller.software with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549. We do so voluntarily: as a micro-enterprise, the company is exempt from the requirements of the German Accessibility Empowerment Act (BFSG) under section 3(3) BFSG. We maintain our WCAG 2.1 AA practice regardless.

This accessibility statement applies to the website juergenkoller.software, including the English-language section under /en/. The web shop at store.juergenkoller.software is covered by the statement published there.

Known Limitations

The following areas are being continuously improved:

Manual Screen Reader Testing: A comprehensive review with users of assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) is planned but not yet completed.
Touch Target Sizes: A systematic measurement according to WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.5.8 (Target Size Minimum, 24x24 px) is pending.
Additional Manual Review: Automated tests (axe-core via Playwright) are integrated as blocking checks in the CI/CD pipeline; complementary manual reviews are performed on larger changes.
Keyboard operation in Safari: By default, Safari only moves focus between form fields when you press Tab. To reach links and buttons by keyboard, enable “Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage” in Safari’s settings. Chrome, Edge and Firefox provide full keyboard operation without any additional setting.

Self-evaluation
Automated rule checking with axe-core via Playwright across all main pages (DE and EN) in four browser engines, enforced as a blocking check in the CI/CD pipeline
W3C validation of every HTML file (Nu Html Checker)
Manual keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Space, Escape), including focus order and focus restoration
Measurement of focus indicators and colour contrast on the rendered document
Reflow and zoom testing (320 px, 200 %, 400 %) and text-spacing testing per SC 1.4.12
Verification of prefers-reduced-motion and of form error handling

Browser engines tested: Chromium, Firefox (Gecko), WebKit and Mobile Chrome, automated via Playwright.

Assistive technologies tested: So far only a simulated screen reader (@guidepup/virtual-screen-reader) plus accessibility-tree inspection. Testing with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver by users of assistive technologies is still outstanding (see “Known Limitations”).

Planned tests: Screen reader testing with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver by users of assistive technologies; systematic target-size measurement per WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8.

Preparation of this Statement

This statement was prepared on October 1, 2025 and was last reviewed and updated on September 14, 2026 as part of the semi-annual review.

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation as well as manual and automated accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 Level AA, EN 301 549 v3.2.1). The update of EN 301 549 to version 4.1.1 (incorporating WCAG 2.2) is expected during 2026 and will be taken into account once in force.
